Abundant Life Ministries of Reconciliation was ordained of God ten years ago. Our mission is to show the love of Jesus to all mankind; reconciling people to God through Jesus Christ our Savior, and reconciling people to each other, whenever safe.
There are some situations, as in abuse, whereby it is not safe or wise to physically reconcile people to each other. The forgiveness of God, even toward an abuser, is required of God, in our hearts, but not our physical reconciling. God is the keeper of our hearts and He knows that forgiveness is essential in order for us, you and me, to have the best that God wants to offer us in this life, and that begins with His forgiveness toward us, through the Blood of His Son, Christ Jesus.
My name is Dorothy M. Shaw, I live in Tarpon Springs, FL. Our Ministry/Counseling office is in New Port Richey at 5510 Gulf Road, Suite 103. You may reach me by phone at 727-514-5422.
When I am with a client/counselee I do not answer the phone, but please leave a message and I will return your call as promptly as possible.
I graduated from Christ the King Theological Bible Seminary, with degrees of:
Doctor of Philosophy in Pastoral Psychology
Doctor of Christian Education
Doctor of Divinity
God has called me and gifted me in Counseling everyone who finds my door. God opens doors for me so that I can open doors for others, therefore, the Counseling part of the Ministry is called:
Opening Doors Christian Counseling
We do counsel on a sliding scale/donation to the Ministry, as opposed to a set fee.We know that we will do our best for you; we trust God that you will do your best for the Ministry, so we can pay the rent and help more people.
I have counseled for the Salvation Army Domestic Violence Shelter and led Support Groups at the Outreach Center.
I counsel with children who have behavioral/anger problems, also Asperger Syndrome children with High Functioning Autism. Your problem does not have to be so traumatic, it can be such as needing to find a new start and a new direction in life.
God has answers for the big and the small concerns.
God has blessed me with a method where by we can eliminate emotional pain and connection from trauma and painful memories. God’s ways are AWESOME when we let God be God and don’t put Him in a box.
I make time to travel to facilities and/or churches to present seminars on:
“Letting Go = So I Can Be Free to Be the Me that God Created”
God has a blessed work for each of us and sometimes we are hindered, held back, because of our past. Whether it be something that was done TO you, or something you did to someone else.
We need to be free to be the ”Real Me”, then we can do our best for God, and move out into the areas in which God has called us. You know that nagging feeling because God says to you, “You know what I asked you to do, when are you going to do it?”
Isn’t it time for you to “Let Go and Be Free to Be Me?”
I also conduct Seminars for Corporations and Businesses for their Supervisors/Managers and for the employees.
The Ministry would appreciate a heart felt donation.
Blessings,
Dorothy
Post Script:
Over my past 13 years of recovering from a divorce after a long term marriage, with the help of excellent counseling, self help books and my faith in our Lord I truly believe and am a living example: “Every time God closes a door, He opens a window”.…He wants all of us to let His light shine, use our gifts and talents we were born with, to overcome fear and trust Him….Let Dorothy help you begin. After all, what do you have to lose? Just imagine all the awesome things about you that you have not yet seen about the real you, it could be the first step in a beautiful journey…..Twofish13
There are still some volunteer openings to serve over 4,000 people a turkey dinner….those less fortunate then many of us. Want to do something that gives you that “warm fuzzy feeling inside”?
Delicious!
Fill someone's tummy and warm YOUR heart!!!!
Check out the opportunities for Pinellas and Pasco counties with theMETROPOLITAN MINISTRIES ANNUAL HOLIDAY TENT on November 18, 2011. As of today they had 18 volunteers needed for Pinellas Hope and not sure about Pasco.
I have done this type of thing in Michigan years before with myself and my kids. Nothing is more rewarding then either delivering turkey dinners to the shut ins or working on a huge project like this. They have 2 morning shifts available beginning at 9am, and also two from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
YOU MUST COMMIT AND RESERVE YOUR SPOT AHEAD OF TIME!!! So get busy and share the greatest gift you can give, your time, in one way or another. Perhaps you could check with local Assisted Living Homes in your area and find out who doesn’t have family or regular visitors and spend some time with someone: reading to them, playing cards or a game, communicating, sharing a dessert or bringing a well behaved family cat or dog for the residents to enjoy or maybe drive a senior citizen to a dinner or go with them and you treat….Use your CREATIVITY!!!! CHECK IT OUT!
Giving to someone else gives us the most priceless gifts in return. It’s FREE and enables us to receive even more blessings!
With hearing loss affecting more than 30 million Americans, or one in every 10 people, you most likely know someone with a hearing loss. And in today’s difficult economy, many of these people are finding the costs of hearing aids beyond their reach. While hearing aids could benefit 95 percent of people with a hearing loss, not everyone can afford the average $1,800 cost for each hearing aid fitting, treatment and follow-up. Did you also know most medical insurance plans do not reimburse their members for purchases ?
I have discovered through my concern, compassion and research on the internet of affordable options for all the senior citizens on fixed incomes and not seeking medical exams for their hearing, two options that might be affordable solutions.
I am still investigating avenues for insurance companies, manufacturers and the consumers to work together to share the expense of many aides and still maintaining the revenue to operate the manufacturers companies by focusing on selling volume at reduced prices by a co-op effort between the three above mentioned entities. I will keep you posted.
In the meantime I suggest you accompany the people you know who would benefit from a free hearing evaluation to a reputable hearing specialist in our area or your Ear Nose and Throat Specialist. Find out what the solutions are for improving their hearing and adding the quality to life they deserve. For our maturing seniors and citizens, sight and sound are the most valuable senses they have to live a quality of life …..For all they have done and given, aren’t they worth this?
MDHearingAid, Inc., a designer, manufacturer, and retailer of low-cost, medical-grade hearing aids, announced the launch of the Acoustitone(tm) line of hearing aids.
With 34 million Americans experiencing hearing loss, but only 24% of those people using hearing aids, a physician has undertaken the challenge to make hearing aids more accessible. Hearing solutions are individualized, every person is different, each situation unique and one solution isn’t necessarily the best option for everyone.
Left untreated, hearing loss can lead to depression, social isolation, anxiety, and even symptoms consistent with Alzheimer’s dementia.
“Hearing loss is a very common medical condition that has been long ignored by the insurance companies” says Dr Cherukuri, a board-certified otolaryngologist (ear, nose & throat doctor) from Chicago, IL, and founder of MDHearingAid.com. “And the cost of traditional hearing aids is simply out of reach for many of my patients.”
According to market research, Medicare and the majority of insurance carriers do not routinely cover hearing aids, and the average cost of a single hearing aid is $1601 (and most patients would benefit from 2 hearing aids). 64% of respondents to the National Council of Aging survey cited cost as a prohibitive factor in the decision to use hearing aids.
For this reason, Dr Cherukuri set out to find a suitable alternative for his patients that could not afford traditional hearing aids. When none was found, he created the Acoustitone(tm) line of hearing aid to his exact specifications. “With today’s technology, I could see no reason that we couldn’t create a reasonable hearing aid for under $200. With the Acoustitone PRO(tm), I and many of our customers feel that we’ve done just that” says Cherukuri.
The Acoustitone PRO(tm) is a professional behind-the-ear hearing aid that has been tested by audiologists and other ear, nose and throat doctors and has been unanimously approved. Dr. Seilesh Babu, a nationally recognized authority on hearing loss who is not affiliated with MDHearingAid, stated “I have thoroughly evaluated the Acoustitone PRO(tm) and can comfortably say that this is an excellent option for those that cannot afford traditional hearing aids.”
The Acoustitone MAX(tm) is a basic hearing aid for primarily home-bound seniors that need help hearing the television and family members.
Both models are “ready-fit”, eliminating the need for an ear mold. They come with several different sizes of ear tips to fit most adults, and they are available directly to patients. If a more precise fit is required or desired, the Acoustitone PRO(tm) can be fit with a custom ear mold. MDHearingAid.com provides a 100% patient satisfaction guarantee and a risk-free trial.
“Our goal was to create the hearing aid equivalent of reading glasses”, says Cherukuri. Both models have been registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as Class I medical devices. They can be found at www.MDHearingAid.com or by calling 888-670-HEAR.
I hope to feed to you places in the Tampa Bay area known for their expertise in suggesting hearing solutions or you can also google the solutions and clinics for yourself….whatever you choose decide to begin living your life with improved sight and sound today, you’ll definitely be happy you did.
But it doesn’t have to be……most churches have access to trained, christian counsellors who are able to help each of us work through our anxieties with job losses, the loss of our homes, to help us sort and sift through the new options on the horizon awaiting us…..don’t despair….Gosh, if I told my story of survival you’d be simply amazed….numerous job losses, a divorce after a long term marriage, my children so hurt they didn’t want anything to do with me for 10 years, financial struggling, moving to new apartments that I had to really hunt to find and afford, giving up all my treasures to move 1400 miles to a new state, where I am now….to begin again and all after I was 50!
The Lord walked with me, carried me, and we chatted and developed a very personal relationship, not inside the walls of a particular church, but as friends, lovers, father, teacher, protector and guide…..I had NO ONE ELSE for those 10 years….no one.
But after walking through the storms, there is really no way out but through, clutching my faith and love in the Lord…..I once again landed on my feet…..I had no one, perhaps like you,and struggled to find sources and support, this blog was created by the idea He gave me over 15 years ago, before blogs were even thought of. He sent people who could help me, even at that time, there was NO GOVERNMENT AID AVAILABLE FOR ME. But I had to be the one to seek help, to reach out, to give it a try.
If you too are overwhelmed with grief, with fear, with sadness, with too many choices and a foggy road ahead….please give yourself a gift…..a gift of contacting a local church to find the affordable counselling offered in our community, most will do a “sliding scale”…..go the the FREE CLINIC near Clearwater in Pinellas County or the FREE clinic in Hillsborough, have your body checked to be sure there is no illness causing your depression and anxiety and they can help eliminate the symptoms with medications to help you cope as well, pick up a bible and read a passage or two daily, take a notebook and venture to a quiet favorite spot in nature and let your pen do the writing, don’t think about it, just let it flow…..let tears wash over you, let those scary emotions come to the surface and out of you….it’s your private writings, no one else will read them and you won’t believe what a change it will make…..I used to address my stuff written to God…..”Dear God”…..
Amazing! Visit a library or thrift store that has used books and select a title or two of ones in the self help dept……you’ll be enthralled that others also have experienced the same things and written suggested ideas of coping.
Faith the size of one tiny seed is all it takes....just one!
“This too will pass”……”have faith the size of a mustard seed“,,,,,,,breathe and ask the Creator of this vast, gorgeous universe to walk with you, to help you, to do His “God thing” then watch what happens……miracles are all about us, it just takes a pinch of faith to see them…..people will cross your path unexpectedly to give you support, to share the love in their hearts….and to give you a boost to your faith that all will be better….try it….then send your experience to me,marty_hermes@yahoo.com and I will post it anonymously for others to be encouraged and inspired…..
The best feeling is being able to help another!
Take a deep breath…..and get a going…..the past is history, the future not yet known, all we have is today….and that’s why it’s called “the present”…..unwrap it!
I have returned to blogging….finally and have many areas I am sure that need updating in the past year since I have not had access to my creative muse in WordPress.
If any of you have info for providing financial assistance to elderly who need hearing aids, please contact me. Or if you have new aides that someone no longer uses and want to help me find an avenue for cleaning and refurbishing I want to know that too!
Most of our senior population have hearing that may be impaired and any help we can provide would be gratefully appreciated as most of them are on limited incomes…..so give me a foot up with where to go and who to contact to help these super folks. Sight and sound go hand in hand to give more mature adults a better quality of life.
Wanna help them to not only see and smell the roses but to also hear the melody of the birds and the whispers of the wind?
ARE YOU A WIDOW OR WIDOWER? ARE YOU IN YOUR LATER YEARS AND HAVE ISSUES THAT KEEP YOU FROM KEEPING UP WITH ALL THE HOUSE UP KEEP?
I have a solution for you to think about…..
I run across many single women and men who are currently seperated, divorced, starting over and in need of a home….Many who are younger maybe even some with a couple of young children who don’t have grandparents in the area and would welcome the idea of sharing a room or two inEXCHANGE for a discount on rent to help you with the things you may need done: gardening, laundry, meal preparation and someone to share it with, grocery shopping, errands and driving YOU to appointments, your own PRIVATE CHAUFFEUR, how sweet would that be?
I will be sending emails to some of our local churches in the next few weeks to try to find people willing and in need of a “live in help mate”and connect them with a reputable, Christian guy or gal struggling to survive in the world. I believe the State Police can probably run a background search too so I need to contact them regarding the process to assure the safety of all.
The economy is not getting better, more and more jobs being lost and homes foreclosed and families in need of a roof over their heads…..and many many lonely senior citizens, physically not capable of doing the many things to keep up their property but are far from the point of being “put out to pasture”….Excellent candidates perhaps to watch over your children while you work part time and still contribute to a functioning , nurturing household…..ARE YOU INTERESTED IN WALKING THIS PATH TO FURTHER INDEPENDENCE AND A FREEDOM FROM THE STRESSES OF TRYING TO MAKE MORE MONEY WITH LESS TIME JUST TO HAVE A NICE PLACE TO LIVE?
SEND ME YOUR EMAIL: marty_hermes@yahoo.com or post a comment here and I will help you to find your solution at no charge…..( use an underscore between my name).
I will then contact the various churches and agencies out here in our community trying to connect the two of you together. Decide what kind of rent you need and what kind of chores you need help with and let’s go from there….it’s worth the try isn’t it? Two generations pulling together to make living life easier for all of us!!!!!
Just think of the joy it might bring into both of your lives, no dinners alone any more, no knee-high grass to mow or shrubs that need pruning, windows to be washed or a house that needs paint….and think of the good you will be sharing with the young folks just beginning, the ones who have no clue about all the knowledge of life you’ve gained throughout your years. As for me, I have affiliations at: BAYSIDE COMMUNITY CHURCH, HARBORSIDE COMMUNITY CHURCH, CALVARY BAPTIST AND AGENCIES SUCH AS THE PREGNANCY CENTER AND WHEELS OF SUCCESS!!!! It’s about being an investigative networker just for you!
Let me help you as YOU reach out and help another and fill your vacant rooms with love, laughter and companionship!!!!
Even before the last Great Depression the exchange commodity, the items used to “buy” or purchase things or services, were done NOT by printed “Green Backs” but by trading a skill for something one needed….Bet you youngins’ are saying….”You mean “back in the day” you didn’t go to Walmart, or the Dollar Tree or Home Depot???? Yup….those place of the “now generation” did not exist….Bartering is the way people use to trade a skill they had for something they needed from someone else. For example, farmers grew crops, vegetables, fruits, raised chickens, cows, pigs etc….When they needed their house painted lets say, they searched around for a person skilled in painting and they traded painting the house for the crops the farmer grew….they swapped talents for necessary items. Many transactions didn’t require written contracts, a gentleman’s handshake meant he would hold true to his word, gettin’ it now?
Then the printed “green backs” came upon the scene which is a form of bartering between banks and credit unions and the public….and the banking system was born and replaced many of the richly respected and creative avenues for using talents, skills to purchase needed commodities such as food, clothing, hay to feed the horses used for transportation….What you say? No motorized vehicles? That’s right….horses to ride to schools, to the local grocery store, yup…. and to feed those horses one would barter a skill the person could do,to purchase the hay for feed…..Seeing the picture now?
So how does this fit in now? Well folks, many of us are unemployed we’ve lost very good, well paying job positions that provided those green backs to shop at Walmart, Home Depot, the local flower shop for a special birthday gift for our sweethearts. Say we are in the electrical business and have a license, but no work, houses aren’t being built….the electrician may offer to do work for local grocery stores on their electricalmaintenance to keep the refrigerators and coolers and lights operating, in exchange for a “Gift Card” or on a list able to purchase food items for his family…..In bartering no actual money is traded back and forth, only time and talents and goods we all need….Get it now? A return to a more simple and creative time. The best way to survive then, and now as well. No taxes on income, cause there is no income to tax…..just trading back and forth for what we need and want....using our talents and skills.
Start thinking about it….How can we barter what we have or do to help another with what they want to have? Let’s go back in time to survive, we may not have any choice you know….but the benefits? How many more people will we be meeting and networking with? How many avenues to use our creativity and really love what we do. How many mouths we can feed, roofs put over peoples heads.…The Amish people have done community barn raising’s for years. Like Habitat for Humanity projects, pitch in and do the work and people bring a dish to pass to eat at mid day, the folks hammer and saw all day long, maybe two weekends, “the crew” and build a small home to keep people dry and cool and give them a simple place to sleep from a very tiring day….
We as Americans have always been blessed to do whatever we must to survive and beat the odds, inGod We Trust….and continue to do so despite the changes and financial upheaval surrounding us….So, lend me a hand all of you, not just the seasoned singles that have experienced this way of life back in the day, but each of you….do some research and decide what you have to offer someone and what you need or would wish for in return….and use the comment boxes here and submit your ideas and just maybe we can sort through all the ideas and solutions and begin to help one another survive, not with bank loans, or credit cards but with honest, creative, hard work…it’s not a choice anymore, we have to become involved, we have to help one another to make it through this challenging time….
I am on board, I will give anyone space to list their needs and also space from someone who will barter and trade THEIR SKILLS AND TALENTS TO PROVIDE IT….and that service from me is FREE!!!!!I will be bartering my time.Come barter with me, won’t you? The only way I can think of to recuperate from the loss of jobs and income, the depleting assistance of Social Security and Welfare, we have to go backward perhaps to move forward…in doing so we will build our character, our strengths and self esteem….We will take back the control of our country, one step one person at a time….Take advantage of my offer to you, you may be someone I don’t know, a stranger.…but are a friend I just have not yet met….Start writing lists guys….it’s not too late…we CAN DO THIS, TOGETHER….WITH HONESTY AND INTEGRITY FOR OURSELVES, OUR CHILDREN AND OUR GRANDCHILDREN…

I have been in touch with a terrific organization here in Tampa Florida, in our own backyard, www.wheelsofsuccess.org, perhaps another, of our“best kept secrets”!
Please contact them if you have or know of someone that could use a YEAR END CHARITY DONATION and would like to donate their vehicle to this fabulous organization.
Their Mission Statement:
“Wheels of Success is dedicated to providing personal transportation solutions by partnering with the community in a circle of support to keep people working and sustain their independence.”
“They believe that Forty percent of the working poor’s income is spent on transportation as opposed to 24.6% of the general population’s. And bus service is not an option for many.”
This month alone they have supplied 29 vehicles to people who desperately need reliable transportation in order to work.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?Simple, think of an elderly friend or neighbor who is unable to drive any longer and has a vehicle in their garage of driveway that may benefit from a charitable tax write off and contact them and help them to connect with Wheels of Success to donate their unused vehicle to provide the needed transportation for those who need one so badly. It’s a “gift that will keep on giving”.…..
Be sure to read all about the organization on their website, www.wheelsofsuccess.org, just another well kept secret in our area, the organization was founded in 2003, isn’t it time you checked it out?
Be sure and tell them, Marty sent you from Twofish13.wordpress.com
And thank you for any effort you make to help someone else in need in our community. Who knows, there may even be a way these grateful recipients might give a lift to and from doctor appointments or to do errands, we just all need to be creative with what we do for others!

The power of God is amazing… Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on ground.
The man slowly looked up.
This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new.. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life.
His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before.. ”Leave me alone,” he growled….
To his amazement, the woman continued standing.
She was smiling — her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. “Are you hungry?” she asked.
“No,” he answered sarcastically. “I’ve just come from dining with the president. Now go away.”
The woman’s smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm.
“What are you doing, lady?” the man asked angrily. “I said to leave me alone.
Just then a policeman came up. “Is there any problem, ma’am?” he asked..
“No problem here, officer,” the woman answered. “I’m just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?”
The officer scratched his head. ”That’s old Jack. He’s been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?”
“See that cafeteria over there?” she asked. “I’m going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile.”
“Are you crazy, lady?” the homeless man resisted. “I don’t want to go in there!” Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up. ”Let me go, officer. I didn’t do anything.” ” This is a good deal for you, Jack” the officer answered. “Don’t blow it.” Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived… The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. ”What’s going on here, officer?” he asked. ”What is all this, is this man in trouble?”
“This lady brought this man in here to be fed,” the policeman answered.
“Not in here!” the manager replied angrily. “Having a person like that here is bad for business..”
Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. ”See, lady. I told you so. Now if you’ll let me go. I didn’t want to come here in the first place.”
The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled… “Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?”
“Of course I am,” the manager answered impatiently. “They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms.”
“And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?”
“What business is that of yours?”
I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company.”
“Oh.”
The woman smiled again. “I thought that might make a difference.” She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. “Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?”
“No thanks, ma’am,” the officer replied. “I’m on duty.”
“Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?” ”Yes, mam. That would be very nice.”
The cafeteria manager turned on his heel, “I’ll get your coffee for you right away, officer.”
The officer watched him walk away. “You certainly put him in his place,” he said.
“That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this.”
She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.. “Jack, do you remember me?” Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. ”I think so — I mean you do look familiar.” “I’m a little older perhaps,” she said. “Maybe I’ve even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry.”
“Ma’am?” the officer said questioningly. He couldn’t believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry. “I was just out of college,” the woman began. “I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn’t find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat.”
Jack lit up with a smile. ”Now I remember,” he said. ”I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy.”
“I know,” the woman continued. “Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble… Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right.”
“So you started your own business?” Old Jack said.
“I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered.” She opened her purse and pulled out a business card.. “When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons…He’s the personnel director of my company. I’ll go talk to him now and I’m certain he’ll find something for you to do around the office.” She smiled. ”I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet… If you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you.”
There were tears in the old man’s eyes. “How can I ever thank you?” he said.“Don’t thank me,” the woman answered. “To God goes the glory. Thank Jesus… He led me to you.”
Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways… “Thank you for all your help, officer,” she said.
“On the contrary, Ms. Eddy,” he answered. “Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And..And thank you for the coffee.” If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing.
If you have missed some of my emails, you might have missed a laugh..
But, if you have missed knowing my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, you have missed everything in the world.
Have a Wonderful Day. May God Bless You Always and don’t forget that when you “cast your bread upon the waters,” you never know how it will be returned to you..God is so big He can cover the whole world with his Love and so small He can curl up inside your heart..
When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go.
Only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He’ll catch you when you fall, or He’ll teach you how to fly!
The power of one sentence!
God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor.
God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close.. e a blessed day and remember to be a blessing…
Thank the Lord for your life, your freedoms and for having time and resources to share with someone else….

I know many of you could care less about ““my perspectives, but that doesn’t stop me from exercising my FREEDOM OF SPEECH….So, yes, here I go again….What is it going to take for all of us experiencing the after shock of a corrupt government, blatant cover ups in all venues, of greed within the ranks of CEO’s to take actions that will be heard?
APATHY IN AMERICA……the disease that will kill a powerful nation!!!! That’s right, no bones about it, all your excuses don’t hold water: I don’t have time to write a letter; I don’t have my congressman’s address or phone number; no one will listen to me anyway; I am too busy trying to survive; I just lost my job and am grieving; I lost my home and have no where to live; My children’s lives are in danger in school, how can I worry about what they are being taught and by whom; I don’t have a computer; My pencil needs sharpening and I can’t afford a sharpener; I am only a peon…….etc…etc….etc.
Are you Apathetic or Making a Difference?
Well folks, let’s put it this way……You NOW HAVE NO CHOICE but to become involved, to make your voices heard….all of us are in this sinking ship together, unrealistically reported and excruciatingly high Unemployment Statistics. Followed by a Health Care Program being put into affect by a Presidential order that will ALLOW the members of GOVERNMENT TO BE EXEMPT from the nationwide health care plan and keep the better benefits they now enjoy, while a board of appointed people decide if you are entitled to a needed by-pass surgery! open gates into this country on all borders with millions of unregistered foreign people who not only will receive medical care, but who do not pay taxes and who are illegally here. The quality of our educational system lowered and foreign students wishing to practice medicine get a free college ride under the premise they will return to there own country to practice, when in fact they remain here while our native citizens with the same desire for a career, are charged an arm and a leg to get their medical degree. Ridiculous and time consuming Lawsuits abounding because not one of us has the guts to “buck the system“……we have been taught to live and to not to rock the boat,we often live in a fearful way of speaking out…..of accepting, not DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILITY FROM OUR ELECTED LAWMAKERS!!!!! Our country, once the giant of the free world, crumbling before our very eyes…..
It’s NOT that you don’t have an opinion is it? You are boiling mad, disillusioned and fed up…..you talk about it at the water coolers, the cafe, the dinner table, in car pools and at the ball games…..you loudly give your opinion…..some of you voted, some did not…..But election time is coming for the real POWERS THAT BE…..THE CONGRESS AND REPRESENTATIVES.…and WE have the opportunity to be heard, to put a stop to this rampant printing of money and elimination of jobs while giving bonus’ to high executives of the huge corporations and lenders we just bailed out; to put caps on the cost of fuel and energy; we have the RIGHT TO BE HEARD……to speak out…..to gather in townhall venues with congress. To DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY in our representation. We after all are the ones who cast our votes and elected them with promises often bought off and unkept! Isn’t that the truth?
This site, is noted for it’s growing strength in spreading the TRUTH….what is not made public in our traditional media coverages it seems:
AFA ( American Family Association)began video-streaming AFRTalk live over the Internet.
● AFA became one of the first Christian ministries to employ Internet television by launching two channels, the AFA Channel and the Home School Channel, in conjunction with Sky Angel IPTV, a global Christian-based Internet television service. Both channels broadcast wholesome and/or educational programming with a decidedly Biblical worldview.
●In response to Proposition 8, the California referendum that would amend the state’s constitution to protect marriage as being only between a man and a woman, AFA produced a 30-minute documentary supporting the ballot measure and distributed it at no cost to 21,000 churches in California. The video was written and produced by AFA staffers for a small fraction of typical production costs. The video proved to be a valuable tool in the passage of Proposition 8.
●AFA helped produce video documentaries explaining complex and long-standing issues such as the growing anti-Christian bias in America and the push by homosexual activists for the legalization of same-sex marriage. Partnering with The Inspiration Networks (INSP), AFA helped produce a 14-part documentary series titled Speechless … Silencingthe Christians. The TV series, also available on DVD, exposes the ugly reality of bias against Christians and urges believers to speak out and put an end to the silencing
I have never been one to be APATHETIC…..I once wrote the only letter read at a hearing for rate increases in the State of Michigan and the outcome, the judge DENIED the increase…..saving my fellow citizens, neighbors and taxpayers, thousands of dollars in additional increases…..based on MY one letter. Your voice is heard and it is possible to turn the tide….
If my one letter could do that, imagine what a letter from YOU could do?
You can be heard…..you can make a difference…..None of us can afford any longer to sit back in our lazy-boy and assume all is well….It is far from well and only getting worse…..Will you do your part, with a phone call, an email (you don’t even need a stamp), a hand posted letter, a local town hall meeting and stand up and be counted as one of us who believes strongly in our morals, values, and the accountability of government elected and appointed officials, not choosing to be dictated to by the governmental powers? Or will you continue to choose your apathetic stance until it’s too late?
YOU DO HAVE CHOICES …..and FREEDOMS…..Let’s see what kind of power “WE THE PEOPLE” ACTUALLY DO HAVE….Just do something, talk about this blog and others like it, to co-workers, friends, neighbors, spread the word and take some kind of action, before it’s too late to do anything! I for one will not sit back and watch America crumble, allowing all the lives risked and sacrificed for freedom and the American Dream to be for naught…..will you?
A Mother of four, who homeschools her children, had to leave her home with her kids to be safe. There are several needs she desperately needs help with, Grow Church Congregation have provided many so this is what is remaining:
A JOB SHE CAN PERFORM FROM HOME, SO SHE CAN CONTINUE TO HOMESCHOOL HER CHILDREN!!!
Queen headboard and/or frame (she has the mattress)
Twin sheets (2 boys, 1 girl)
Coffee table
End table
Laptop (her computer is dying and she homeschools from home that will more than likely require computer input)
Casserole dish
Pots and pans
A gift card from a local Walmart, Target or Grocery store would also help them with food and basics.

This country was built on enthusiasm, creativity, lofty goals, ideas and imagination. We as ” Baby Boomers” helped to bring about the huge technological changes in the past 30 years alone. It is now up to us, it seems, to sort through all the areas of crisis in the Tampa Bay Area and help our fellow neighbors, friends, families, church goers to deal with the pangs of disappointment, fear and stress brought on by the greedy corporate executives only thinking of the millions they can make for themselves, not whether the person who actually has manufactured the product or sold it has a job or not. It’s definitely too late for the blame game….but it isn’t too late to pitch in with your ideas to implementavenues so many need: sources of food, a room to rent, a surrogate grandparent to offset child care, someone who’s eyesight is fairly good to read the newspaper or books to someone who has lost their sight, someone who loves to cook to prepare some food for someone who is hungry, we need leads for the best food pantry’s and where to find the best free medical clinics, what free and family events are coming our way, which churches are willing to joinforces and give even more shelter to the homeless (do you know how many kids in our schools are homeless? The numbers are staggering). Do you have a large home and live there alone? What about reasonably renting a room or two in exchange for help with some of the manual labor upkeep? If you are unemployed but have a car, why not seek seniors who can no longer drive and take them on their errands or to their medical appointments….the list of needs goes on and on.

My handle is Twofish13 for you who have been following my writing for a few months now.
I realized a long time ago this depressing recession was coming….long before the elected officials and CEO’s admitted to their greed, their corruption and all that has occured…..I wanted to help our people here….to have an avenue to express the needs they have to survive and offer an avenue for others to help them with suggestions that they have found that worked for them…..So here it is….Your local contribution to spreading the good and affordable word from neighbor to neighbor, family to family, church congregation to another ….We may not be able to fire all the CEO’s and remove the corrupt government officials, but we can take our country back by sharing what we know and rebuilding our lives together….it’s a very good thing….
